HTI Merganser provides exciting opportunities for teachers and other educational professionals to develop their skills and experience on a global basis.

Those working with pupils and students face comparable challenges around the world.  In today’s connected global society it is vital that professionals learn from each other.  In this way they can better enrich the lives of the young people they have in their care.

Every parent has a right to expect the best possible education for their child, and professionals are coming under increasing pressure to ensure that happens.  The world of education is alive with innovation and development and teachers sometimes have difficulty keeping at the forefront. One proven way to make a step change in one’s understanding is to travel to other classrooms, across the world, to see how the challenges are faced and overcome in other places.

With many years experience of facilitating that professional contact – in a structured way – HTI Merganser is uniquely placed to make exciting and valuable global learning available to professionals.

Based in the UK we have a wide global network of partner organisations who work with us to provide that experience.  Through working with our partners, we have come to learn the importance of respecting the cultural context of learning. But we have also learnt that globally we all have much more in common in our educational experience than we have differences.  We work to build on that common understanding so that teachers are supported in continually improving learning in their own situation.
