Exchanges and Job Shadowing
Undertaking an exchange with, or job shadowing a fellow professional in another country gives a unique insight into education in the country concerned. There is no doubt that these experiences can be challenging, but the rewards can be considerable. Not only is there substantial professional experience to be gained but also very often long term friendships are formed.
Before taking a decision to proceed with an exchange or a job shadowing exercise, teachers have to consider their involvement very carefully. We will need to know something about your motivation, and of course you will need to have the support of your head, or in the case of a headteacher, of your governors.
